Lawsuit Filed against Negligent Trucking Company and its Driver
Rob Ammons has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a 46-year-old Texas man who was seriously injured when the truck he was driving collided with another 18-wheeler whose operator pulled from a private drive directly into the truck’s path on a highway.
According to the lawsuit filed by The Ammons Law Firm, the driver of the second 18-wheeler was negligent in failing to yield the right-of-way, being inattentive, failing to keep a proper lookout, and operating a commercial vehicle in a reckless manner. That driver’s employer is responsible for such negligence in operating its vehicle since the 18-wheeler was being driven in the course and scope of the driver’s job duties.
“My client lacerated his liver and has had to have neck surgery. Drivers like this one who are careless, who disregard the law and the rules of the road in operating commercial vehicles — and their employers who put them on our roadways — must be held to account for the harm they cause,” says Ammons.
The Ammons Law Firm has a nationwide personal injury practice focusing on tire defects, truck accidents, rollovers, consumer protection and product liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, post-collision fires, seat belt defects, air bag defects and plant explosions.
