Karen Kennedy was raised in Houston, Texas. Karen received her Bachelor of Arts in 1987 from The University of Texas at Austin in Plan II with Special Honors. Karen continued her studies on the graduate level while raising three children and working as an advocate for children’s issues including access to special education benefits, quality childcare, and alternative therapies for treating disabilities.
Karen’s passion for helping others caused her to continue her education at Baylor Law School where she earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence. Since graduating from law school, Karen has worked in complex family and business litigation cases, in addition to appellate work. She has earned a well-deserved reputation amongst her peers and clients of her unparalleled ability to litigate cases with both skill and compassion. Karen is a strong advocate in settlement negotiation and has first chair trial experience.
Karen focuses her practice on product liability litigation and helping clients who have sustained serious injuries and/or lost loved ones due to the negligence of another party. She has handled refinery cases, 18 wheeler crashes, electrocution cases, and tire tread separation cases, where she has obtained exemplary results for her clients.
